At Hotel and Restaurant Training South Africa, we are deeply committed to empowering our nation’s youth. We firmly believe that by creating jobs and fostering skills, we contribute to a more prosperous future for all. This vision is made possible through our collaborative partnerships with various stakeholders in the industry. We work hand-in-hand with government departments and corporate sectors that sponsor our specialized training programs for youth employment.
Our unique approach focuses on a holistic training model that equips unemployed youth not just for a job, but for a career. Our goal is to train them for direct employment and to give them the foundational skills to become self-employed, thereby creating even more jobs. This includes specialized training in essential hospitality roles, such as:
- Housekeeping
- Front of House Training
- Management Skills
- Basic Industry Cooking Skills
We also offer specialized, creative skills training like cocktail making and the basics of opening a small cafe in a township.
This commitment to youth empowerment is at the core of our organization, exemplified by our founder, Ntando Dube. In 2014, Ntando successfully delivered a landmark program for the Gauteng Tourism Authority, which trained and placed over 200 unemployed youths in the industry. This program, which started as a job placement initiative with the Restaurant Association of South Africa, proved the immense potential of targeted skills training and continues to be a driving force behind our mission
